The story of Grani began in the 1980s, when Zlatoust Watch Factory’s design bureau was developing a compact new format for its celebrated diving watches.

During a hike in Taganay, the factory’s lead engineer noticed the natural geometry of the rocky cliffs. In 1983, this inspired the idea of a case with a faceted surface architecture. The project was later closed and lost in the archives.

Almost forty years later, a folder bearing the intriguing title “Case No. 47. Experimental. Grani” was rediscovered. After studying the drawings and sketches, the current ZChZ team adapted them to contemporary materials and technology. The result is Grani: a watch with a precise case geometry, faithful to the original engineering concept and crafted to modern standards.

A safe green luminescent compound is applied by hand to the dial. It charges by absorbing light energy from any light source and emits a bright, long-lasting glow in the dark.

Water Resistance - AGAT Grani Collection

The watch maintains water resistance and accurate timekeeping even at great depth thanks to its special construction: a monocoque case machined from a single piece of metal, special seals, and a unique pressure cap with a patented triple-sealing system that protects the crown.

The screw-down crown ensures reliable water resistance and protects the movement from moisture, dust, and pressure.

AGAT watches are equipped with an automatic winding system: responding to the natural motion of the wrist, the rotor steadily builds power reserve and maintains rate accuracy without the need for daily winding. This construction enhances wearing convenience, reduces load on the winding mechanism, and ensures reliable movement operation with regular wear.

Premium-grade crystal with anti-reflective coating. Exceptionally strong, it withstands high pressure and mechanical impact. It retains its transparency and clarity throughout its service life.

Additional Strap - AGAT Grani Collection

The watch is supplied on a basic leather strap and includes an additional branded rubber strap. The rubber offers enhanced wear resistance, withstands moisture and temperature fluctuations, requires minimal care, and remains comfortable during extended wear. It is suitable for both active use in extreme conditions and everyday wear, retaining its appearance and functionality.
